Why I Teach in Italy



Born and raised in a little country town in the united states, I knew from your young age i wanted to travel and explore the entire world. I used to be a country girl having a city heart, and also the small capital of scotland - approximately 2500 people was not where my calling lied.

After earning a teaching degree I decided it had become here we are at a big change. I desired to travel outside of the US, and so i started to explore opportunities available elsewhere personally. A couple weeks later I stumbled upon an excellent teaching position in Rome, Italy.



I used to be hired for that position which would start at the outset of the brand new school year. I began making preparations and before I knew it arrived that i can board a jet and commence a fresh life on this fantastic country. It absolutely was something which was long awaited yet still nerve wrecking.

I’m often asked things i like about teaching in Italy. This isn't a straightforward question to reply to. It isn’t that I do not like anything about teaching in Italy; you will find far too many items that I really like regarding it to easily pick one. This can be, by far, the most wonderful experience that I have ever been part of.



Of course my paycheck is one thing that I love too. Working at a top university in Rome, my pay is way more than what I would ever have seen in America. I love to go to work to see those paychecks!



But, to enjoy a job you must love a lot more than the paycheck, and I know that I truly love everything about being a teacher in Italy. My students encourage me in numerous ways. They create it easy to unwind, unwind and feel as though I'm amongst a group of old college friends. You will find there's great time day in and day trip, whilst they learn just as much as me.



The task offers us a great schedule. I'm able to teach my students but still be home when my children get out of school. Sometimes part-time but receive full benefits and pay. I am not sure the hours as well as the schedule i have could be something I really could find working somewhere else.



I also love finding yourself in Rome because there is a lot to discover therefore much that i can learn . It is far diverse from things i am utilized to, however i enjoy every minute from it. There's never a dull moment for me personally, and I know that i'm living life to the fullest.I love a brief history in Rome, I enjoy the people and their eagerness to understand.



For anybody considering teaching overseas, Italy happens when being. Deciding to visit abroad and teach within this school is a truly remarkable experience which has forever changed my well being. I'm so grateful that I was handed the ability. It isn’t every day that this kind of opportunity occurs.
